Funktion-One has officially launched in Argentina, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the loudspeaker manufacturer in South America. The launch took place at Arena Maipú in Mendoza, with more than 3,000 people gathering to experience Funktion-One’s unmistakable sound, highlighted by a headline performance from international DJ and producer Richie Hawtin.

The event was hosted by key figures from Funktion-One’s global and regional network. Speakers included Andrés Zaina (Director, Funktion-One Argentina & Brazil), Joaquín Baeza (CEO, Funktion-One South America), Diego Fernández (Head of Pro Show Argentina & Operations Manager, Funktion-One Argentina), and Andrew Low (Sales Director, Funktion-One). Together, they underlined the significance of Funktion-One in Argentina.

“We’re very excited,” said Low. “This is a great opportunity to deliver incredible sound for Argentina’s entertainment industry, bringing more than 30 years of expertise in live events and sound system installations.”

Looking ahead, Fernández highlighted the ambitious plans for Argentina: “We’ll support Funktion-One’s growth with a nationwide rental network, installations in clubs and venues, and strategic partnerships that will expand the family across the region.”

The night culminated with a performance by revered DJ and producer Richie Hawtin, who shared his appreciation for the brand:  “Funktion-One has been part of the explosion of electronic music and techno since the beginning. Its sound has a unique clarity, with bass you can truly feel. It's great to see them expand into such an important and deserving techno market such as Argentina.”
