Funktion-One Strengthens Central Asia Presence With New Distribution Partnership

Funktion-One has announced the appointment of a new distributor to drive its expansion across the developing Central Asian market. The new entity, Funktion-One Central Aziya, unites the technical expertise of veteran sound engineer Andrey Kremenchugskiy with the regional business development knowledge of Askar Salikhbaev.
With a career spanning over two decades, Kremenchugskiy brings a deep-rooted affinity with Funktion-One to the new venture. “I’ve been working with Funktion-One systems for almost 25 years,” says Kremenchugskiy. “I share the company’s philosophy and their support has always been world-class. I just love how Funktion-One loudspeakers sound.”
The distribution partnership will focus on Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The region is undergoing steady development, with increasing demand for reliable, high-quality technical infrastructure across a range of sectors. This is reflected in recent projects, including a Funktion-One installation at the Humo Ice Dome in Tashkent.
“The demand for new technologies, including high quality professional sound systems is on the rise,” explained Kremenchugskiy. “We are seeing opportunities in different segments - from government backed projects such as sporting venues to nightclubs, restaurants and home studios. Fortunately, Funktion-One has excellent options for all of those applications.”
Funktion-One Director of Sales, Andrew Low, welcomed the appointment: “We’re delighted to collaborate with Andrey and his team again. Having worked together on a number of standout projects over the last 20 years, we know his technical standards are exceptional. Askar’s local market knowledge will be invaluable as we explore these markets.”
Funktion-One Central Aziya is currently in early-stage discussions with several landmark projects across the region.
